The players and coaches of Serbia’s national team will share nearly 4 million euros after qualifying for next year’s European Championship.
The media in our western neighbor reports that the local football union will receive 9.5 million euros from UEFA for its achievement, and 40% of it will go to the players who helped in the European qualifications, as well as, of course, to the team’s coaching staff.
This means that the amount that will be divided between players and coaches is equal to 3.8 million euros. Everyone’s bonus will be individual, depending on what the performance and contribution has been on the way to Euro 2024 in Germany.
The winger of the “Plava” and Juventus, Filip Kostic, did not hide his joy at the success of the selection and indicated that the Serbs are used to walking a difficult path.
“Although we are thinking about the European Championship in Germany, at this moment it does not matter who our opponents will be there. There are no easy opponents anymore, you saw that against Bulgaria. Now is the time to celebrate, beer and burgers, here are the best”. Kostic said after the hiccup with the Bulgarian national team.
Kostic and company will learn their opponents on December 2nd. Then there is the draw, in which Serbia will be in the third or fourth urn.
