Our former national team and until recently sports director of Pirin (Blagoevgrad) – Petar Zanev is about to return to the club, writes “Tema Sport”.
He is willing to take the position of manager of the club, which until recently was held by Atanas Dafinov. This became clear after a statement by the former mayor of the city, Ilko Stoyanov.
In his position, the former mayor says that as of November 17, the obligation to the National Revenue Agency is in the amount of nearly 174 thousand BGN, but as of the same date OFK Pirin’s receivables are in the amount of 340,000 BGN.
“The receivables stem from notarized contracts with other professional football clubs and are indisputable. Payments under the contracts were stopped after Petar Zanev left the club, but now that he will be returned as manager, I hope they will be reinstated,” Ilko said. Stoyanov.
The receivables of Pirin (Blagoevgrad) cover the obligations according to the previous mayor of Blagoevgrad Ilko Stoyanov. He stated this in a position on the occasion of the statement of the current mayor, Metodi Baikushev, that the club has huge debts, with liabilities to the National Revenue Agency amounting to BGN 270 thousand, and there are no funds in Pirin’s accounts. In his speech, he pointed out that at the moment the municipality cannot make a commitment that it will be able to save the club.
