CSKA plans to keep goalkeeper Gustavo Busato next season as well, according to “Mach Telegraf”. The Brazilian guard has a reason in his contract to leave him with the “Army” at least until the summer of 2025. Bussato renewed his contract with the “Reds” last summer, signing for a period of 1+1 years.
The Latin American is in his fifth season at CSKA and has played a total of 161 matches so far, making him the most capped foreigner for the club. In our country, he also won the Bulgarian Cup in 2021.
An obstacle to Busato staying in CSKA could be his family commitments and his desire to return to his native Brazil. Already last summer, the guard and his agent Hernan Banato, who is now the owner of Beroe, hinted that there was interest in the player from South America. Before landing in Sofia in June 2019, Busato played for Brazilian sides Nautico (2017), Aperessidence (2018), Sampaio Correa (2018), and Ituano, with his only stint on the Old Continent before that being Poland’s elite Podbeskidzie in the 2016 season/ 17, when, however, he did not record a single match in the local Ekstraklasa.
CSKA bosses are expected to hold a conversation with Gustavo Busato after the team’s last official match of the year – against Ludogorets on December 10 at 5:45 p.m., and during the winter training the two sides will be able to calmly specify the details of the possible extension of the goalkeeper’s contract.
