In the 19th minute, we could witness the first goal of the match after an excellent attack by the guests on the left flank. Radoslav Kirilov passed to Simeon Vasilev, who crossed, and Emil Tsenov sent a header, but right into the reach of Christian Tomov.
In the middle of the first half, the team from Bistrica missed another opportunity. Karagaren stole the ball from Angel Lyaskov and passed it to Tallis, who started from his field, ran 40-50 meters and shot from the edge of the penalty area, but into the right post.
In the 33rd minute, the guests again reached a wonderful opportunity. Karagaren received a lead pass and came face-to-face with the Lokomotiv goalkeeper, feinted him and shot into the empty goal, but Todor Pavlov appeared from somewhere and knocked the ball into the net with a split.
The guests continued to be the more active team on the field and in the last minutes again Karagaren and Radoslav Kirilov shot at the goal of the “Smurfs”, but did not find the target.

In the first minute of the second half, Lokomotiv reached a good opportunity. Olivier Candem stormed powerfully into the visitors’ penalty area and struck on the diagonal, but inches from the target.
In the 50th minute, Karagaren was again put in a perfect position, broke into the Lokomotiv field, lied to Todor Pavlov and shot, but Tomov saved.
Against the background of what was shown on the field, the hosts surprisingly opened the score in the 53rd minute. And even more surprising was the scorer and his performance. Lokomotiv’s team made a neat attack on the right flank, and Dimitar Iliev crossed to the back post, where the “Smurfs” central defender Todor Pavlov had joined. He stopped the ball on his chest and with a projectile from the edge of the penalty area sent it right into the goal assembly. It was the first goal in professional football for the young defender, and with it he earned great respect, namely – wiping the button from the captain of Lokomotiv – Dimitar Iliev.
Shortly after the goal, Lokomotiv could have doubled their lead after a good combination between Baccar Dion, Olivier Candem and Michy Ntelo, but the latter’s shot hit the right post.
Birsent Karagaren waited for his moment in the match, and it came in the 59th minute when he got ahead of Jorge Segura for a contested ball, advanced with it and technically sent it past Tomov for 1:1. The former Lokomotiv football player did not express his joy, but also received applause from the supporters of the hosts.
Shortly before the end, there was a big stir in the visitors’ field, but nobody from Lokomotiv was able to strike a decisive blow. Michy Ntelo also shot dangerously in the final seconds but the visitors’ goalkeeper saved with his fingertips.
