Grigor Dimitrov became a global ambassador of Payhawk. The partnership was officially announced in Madrid, where our first racket is being prepared for the start of the Masters tournament in the Spanish capital.

Payhawk is a corporate expense management company and the first Bulgarian company valued at over $1 billion. Its founder is Hristo Borisov.

“I am excited to partner with a company that originated from my home. I have always carried Bulgaria within me over time. It’s a pleasure for me to start something new and I have a lot to learn from them,” said Dimitrov.

“Grigor is the best example of Bulgarian success at the global level and the best
an ambassador for the global vision and ambition we have at Payhawk. The synergy between Grigor and Payhawk is undeniable – Grigor is the most successful Bulgarian tennis player, and we are the first unicorn company in Bulgaria, which is proof of the strength of our business. As a person, Grigor is extremely successful and has a remarkable competitive spirit, but he is also a modest, moderate and serious professional,” said Hristo Borisov, CEO and co-founder of Payhawk.

As part of the sponsorship deal, Grigor’s tennis team will feature the logo of
Payhawk, and he will participate in various financial events organized in sync with
ATP and ITF calendars. This will open up an opportunity for Payhawk partners to
get greater access to the Bulgarian athlete.

“I haven’t spent time in Bulgaria since I was little and I miss something Bulgarian when I travel. I always wanted to have that kind of partner. When I connect with people and companies, it is because I myself want it and believe in it. Each of us wants to become better in a certain area, and right now it’s mutual.”

Payhawk facilitates company payments, combining in one product corporate cards, software for managing company expenses and liabilities, and seamless connection with ERP systems.

“Every one of us is excited to get started. Of course, it’s hard with time, but everyone wants to do their best. Now we begin. We want to get to know each other and see what our possibilities are for the future,” said Grigor.

“With this partnership, Payhawk will expand its global ambitions and provide Grigor with all the support he needs to perform at his highest level anywhere in the world,” added Hristo Borisov.

Payhawk helps businesses in over 32 countries maximize efficiency and control costs at scale. With offices in Sofia, London, Berlin, Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, Vilnius and New York, Payhawk’s clients include leading names such as Discordia, Speedy, Decathlon, Chaos Group, HRS and
