An MMA event took a shocking turn after Iranian fighter Ali Heibati decided to lightly kick a girl in the ring for no apparent reason. This action of his caused a massive brawl at the tournament in Moscow, where Heibati faced Arkady Osipian.
As the girls walked past him, holding up the sign signaling the start of the battle, Heibati stepped awkwardly forward and kicked her.
The woman, clearly startled by his behavior, confronted him, prompting the referee to step in and warn Heibati about his behavior.
Despite the incident, the fight continued but ended quickly as Osipian secured a TKO victory in the first round. However, the drama did not end there.
After the bout, Heibati also tried to kick a commentator before starting a heated exchange. Heibati was subsequently mobbed by the crowd and received several blows to the head.
In response to the incident, Heibati took to social media to apologize to the ringside girl named Maria. “I didn’t do right by her… I just wanted to go out and fight,” he wrote.
The shocking incident sparked widespread discussion in the MMA community, leading to a lifetime ban for the Iranian.
