Lacho Tanev, who has been working as a football agent for years, revealed to Darik and dsport that he did not talk to anyone from CSKA about taking over the post of sporting director at the “Reds”.
“To tell you frankly, we have not talked with CSKA about the post of sports director. It was out of the question. I don’t know where this information is coming from. It is difficult to say whether I would consider a job at CSKA. Maybe I need to take a step in my development, but we also talked about BFS at the time. If I am not convinced that I will have all the power to lead a federation or a club, I think that I have the knowledge and self-confidence, there is no point in causing yourself humiliation,” revealed Tanev.
“I keep in touch with Ficho and Dani Ganchev, of course. Change of ownership is a delicate subject. They know what they are going to do. I think that Grisha Ganchev and his son should be given the credit they deserve for pushing the construction of the new stadium with great effort. I have a view in European football what a huge difference the new stadium is – revenue, attracting players, it will help the club and the team a lot. These things should be appreciated. Naturally, it is his merit to find a partner in his vision, because the clubs’ income is limited and there should always be people to help in difficult times,” he added.
