Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said that the pressure at the end of the season is very high. The Citizens beat Brighton 4-0 away on Thursday and are one point behind Arsenal, but with a game in hand.
Liverpool looked set to fall out of the Championship equation after a 2-0 defeat at Everton, but Guardiola warned that his side are not immune to mistakes either.
“What happened to Liverpool can happen to us, can happen to Arsenal. Nobody is immune. Everton are fighting for their lives and now we play Nottingham who are also fighting for their lives .They will fight to the end, we have to do the same. I want to believe that experience will help us. What happened in the past does not mean that it will happen in the future we will make it happen,” said the Spaniard.
And about the match with Brighton he said:
“The message from this game is the three points, that’s all. We’re under pressure. We know that if we don’t win, even if we draw, we might not be able to fight for the title. Of course the pressure is there. Five to go match, it’s time to think about the next one.”
