Levski goalkeeper Plamen Andreev, who is expected to start in the derby with CSKA, received another international recognition. The “Blues” teenager has been included in a prestigious ranking of the football observatory of the International Center for Sports Sciences (CIES) in Neuchâtel (Switzerland) for the greatest talents in Europe.

CIES has ranked the 100 under-20 footballers who have gained the most experience within a calendar year. The study is for the period from 23 April 2023 to 23 April 2024, taking into account matches for the first team in the championship and the national team (men’s or youth). The research center forms a coefficient for accumulated experience based on the minutes played and the strength of the championship in which the given young footballer plays.
Andreev has a coefficient of 69.8, which ranks him 24th among the 100 players. In the first position is Benfica’s defensive midfielder Joao Neves (19) with a coefficient of 84, followed by PSG talent Warren Zaire-Emery with 82.0, Alejandro Garnacho (Manchester United) with 79.4, Lamin Yamal (Barcelona) with 78.7, etc. According to the number of minutes played in official matches, Levski’s goalkeeper is even further ahead – in fifth place, with 4050 minutes.
