A big scandal, which reached UEFA, accompanied the transfer of Ludogorets defender Zhan Karnicnik to Lilleström, “Mach Telegraf” writes. The Eagles have loaned the defender to the iconic Norwegian club, but the deal could fall through. Due to the transfer negotiations, Karnicnik did not get into the group for the match with Levski for the Bulgarian Super Cup, because the day before he was already in Norway to finalize the deal between the two clubs.
However, it turned out there was a problem. The transfer window in the Scandinavian country closed on August 31, and the latch has clicked just before the final closing of the transfer. Thus, Karnicnik was left without a card file for Lilleström. The club immediately scandalized the local federation because, according to them, everything should have been fine. The Norwegian headquarters has appealed to UEFA, demanding that the deal be declared finalized and that Karnicnik be able to wear Lilleström’s team.
“Two of the three decisive steps for the transfer of the Ludogorets defender to Lilleström were made when the carding system stopped working and the window closed. We believe that UEFA will solve this problem and Karnicnik will be able to play in Lilleström, which will be good for all parties to the treaty,” announced in Norway.
It is expected to become clear this week whether the Slovenian defender, who lost his starting place in Ludogorets, will play in Norway, where he is at the moment, or return to Razgrad.
