It is expected today at a press conference that the deputy from “We continue the change-Democratic Bulgaria” and former minister of sports Radostin Vassilev will announce that he is leaving his parliamentary group.
The occasion is the agreement reached between PP-DB and GERB-SDS to support a government with the second mandate.
Yesterday, the co-chairman of “We continue the change” Kiril Petkov announced that politicians from “We continue the change-Democratic Bulgaria” were recorded during work meetings and meetings of their leadership in the parliament and in the party headquarters.
According to Petkov, “the active event was planned by the services, and the recordings were made by Radostin Vassilev.”
“His motive is the refusal to be proposed again as minister of sports and his unrealistic ambitions to start his own political project to blow up the state,” explained Petkov. He also claims that Vassilev boasted that for his actions he had the support of “state centers that do not want a government to be formed.”
According to Kiril Petkov, PP politicians are recruited by the services, the aim is to fail a government with the second mandate.
The PP-DB has information that at the press conference announced for today, Vassilev will present part of the recordings, which according to Petkov have been manipulated. The names of Bulgarian and European politicians are involved in them, and the goal is to cause an international diplomatic scandal:
“What we do know is that over 10 hours of recordings have been synthesized into 4 minutes of individual phrases and words so that they can give absolutely the wrong suggestions. I repeat – these are artificially assembled words, out of context, deliberately chosen for the purpose of blackmail and destabilization,” said Petkov.
