Japan is tightening sanctions against Russia in connection with the events in Ukraine, the Japanese Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
The G7 nations decided last week at their Hiroshima meeting to expand restrictions on Russian citizens and companies to exhaust Vladimir Putin’s war machine.
Tokyo will include in your restricted list a number of Russian military factories, “Dnevnik” reported. More will be added to the list 17 individuals and 78 organizations from Russia, whose assets in Japan have been frozen. Export restrictions are also introduced for 80 organizations.
Among the persons on whom personal sanctions, are mostly military, as well as representatives of the occupation administration in Crimea, Zaporozhye and Kherson region. Asset freezes and travel bans are imposed on Generals Mikhail Zusko, commander of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District, and Mikhail Matveevsky, chief of the Missile Forces and Artillery of the Ground Forces of Russia.

During the summit of the most developed industrial nations, which was also attended by the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky, The USA, Canada and Great Britain also announced new sanctions.
