More than 15 volunteers spent the festive day of May 24 in a 12-hour rescue operation to retrieve a kitten that fell into the suction of a grocery store in Veliko Tarnovo.
The action took place in the “Buzludzha” quarter, and the organization “Friends of Animals – VT” announced the case, reported borbabg.com. In the early hours of the day, they started looking for assistance from institutions and even called 112, but to their unpleasant surprise, no one answered.
Environmentalists took matters into their own hands and managed to contact the owner of the commercial establishment. He took the case to heart and helped save the animal.
For hours, the volunteers tried to get the little one out, but they never managed to reach him. A ladder, ropes, and whatever means were at hand were used, until finally at dusk the quadruped was rescued.
The kitten was taken to a vet for a check-up and, apart from miraculously surviving, he is now happy with the owners who adopted him.
The fate of the little one moved hundreds of people who watched in real time live broadcast on social networks moments of the rescue operation.
