Former US President Donald Trump said that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who announced his participation in the presidential race, had a bad start to the campaign. “I think he had a rough start,” Trump told NewsNation, commenting on the launch of the DeSantis campaign.
According to the former US president, his results in pre-election polls are good, despite DeSantis’ decision to run in the US Republican primary.
“All the polls show me doing very well,” Trump said. Earlier on social media, Trump called DeSantis’ campaign announcement a “disaster.”
American media noted that during the broadcast with the participation of DeSantis on Twitter, there were technical problems. In addition to Trump and DeSantis, several people have already announced their intention to run for the Republican presidential nomination, including Republican Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina, former US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson.
