Andrii, the head of the president’s office Yermak presented on Monday five priorities for further sanctions against Russia. He wrote this in Telegram, quoted by Ukrinform.
“I reached out to the EU sanctions coordinators and the entire sanctions coalition, including representatives from the US, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and others. We talked about strengthening sanctions against Russia,” he wrote.
according to him first of all, it is necessary to resolve the issue with the Russian militaryindustrial complex, as Western components are still used in the production of Russian weapons. In particular, the production of missiles and drones is increasing, threatening Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure and energy system more than last year.
The US has imposed sanctions on companies from Russia, Turkey, the UAE and Georgia for circumventing the sanctions

“We must ensure that the Russian military-industrial complex no longer gains access to Western microelectronics. The same applies to engineering and sensitive technologies. This requires expanding export controls, strengthening corporate compliance, unified lists of dual-use goods and general synchronization of export policies,” emphasized Yermak.
At the same time, in the field of energy sanctions, control over compliance with the Russian oil price ceiling should be improved. Yermak emphasized that violations of price restrictions should be removed, as well as the shadow operations of the Russian tanker fleet.
“Further decisive steps are needed for a general strengthening of energy sanctions. The possibility of banning Russian liquefied natural gas should also be considered,” the head of the president’s office emphasized.

Yermak too is convinced that additional financial constraints are important. The introduction of additional sanctions against the Russian financial sector is as important as preventing the evasion of sanctions with the help of third countries.
The fourth priority is Russian propagandistswhich must be clearly identified and deprived of access to their assets outside the Russian Federation.
“Furthermore, they and their close relatives should not enjoy the benefits of a comfortable life and earn abroad. They should be barred from entering the civilized world,” the official noted.
Yermak also emphasized that it is necessary to introduce the next package of sanctions as soon as possible.
“I applaud the determination of those investigating attempts to circumvent sanctions. We should not hesitate to apply the tools of the 11th package against third countries, companies and individuals who help the aggressor,” wrote the president’s chief of staff.
He emphasized that Ukraine appreciates the efforts regarding the sanctioning of Russia: The McFaul-Yermak group liaises with foreign governments, proposing specific sanctions steps that are taken into account in the sanctions packages.
Yermak held the eighth meeting with representatives of the diplomatic corps, accredited in Ukraine, regarding the implementation of Volodymyr Zelensky’s Peace Formula.
