Nottingham and Burnley did not produce a winner in the meeting between them in the 5th round of the Premier League. The match at “City Ground” ended with a score of 1:1. The visitors opened first through Zeki Amdouni in the 41st minute and Callum Hudson-Odoi equalized in the 61st. VAR also played a part in the game as a second goal from the visitors was canceled out in the 77th minute.
The visitors took the lead in the 41st minute. Luca Coleosho made an impressive break on the left wing and from the offline returned the ball to Lyle Foster, who failed to make a shot, but the ball ended up in Zeki Amduni, who shot into the goal for 0:1.
However, Nottingham leveled in the 61st minute after a superb goal from Callum Hudson-Odoi. He received the corner of the penalty area and with a precise diagonal shot found the far corner of the goal and scored with the help of the crossbar to make it 1:1.
Burnley could have regained the lead in the 77th minute but Lyle Foster’s goal was disallowed for an attacking foul which was flagged after a VAR review.
At the end of the match, the visitors were left with a reduced squad after Lyle Foster received a straight red card for a foul.
After the draw Nottingham is in 7th position in the standings with 7 points. Burnley, on the other hand, halted their losing streak, earning their first point as they sit 19th in the table.
