Police officers in Berkovitsa clarify the circumstances surrounding the death of a 40-year-old resident of Varshets, reported by the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Montana. According to his relatives on October 28 he was visiting Varshets, where he was beaten.
The victim visited his personal doctor on the morning of October 30, but on November 2 his condition worsened and he was rushed to Montana Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery, but later died.
For the beating in the Regional Office no signal was received in Berkovitsa, the police say. At the moment, the address in Varshets where the deceased was visiting has been established. Forensics identified those present at the gathering in the private home, as well as others familiar with the case.
The body of the 40-year-old man has been transferred to the Department of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy and clarifying the causes of death. The case was reported to the prosecutor on duty at the District Prosecutor’s Office – Montana. A pre-trial proceeding has been initiated.
