
The price of natural gas in Europe rose by 0.48 percent as of 2:05 p.m. Bulgarian time compared to the quotations at the close of the exchange last night. This is shown by the data of the latest update of the London ICE exchange.
December futures on the TTF hub in the Netherlands traded at €48.80 per megawatt hour, or over $519 per 1,000 cubic meters. This morning the exchange opened at a price of 47.54 euros per megawatt hour, while yesterday it closed at 48.56 euros per megawatt hour. Between 9:39 and 10:00 Bulgarian time, however, there were periods when natural gas was sold for just over 50 euros per megawatt hour.
Data from Europe’s biggest gas exchange showed the price of the blue fuel fell from October 30, when it was 53.03 euros per megawatt hour. On October 1st and 2nd, the price of natural gas rose again, but minimally – below 1 euro per megawatt hour.
On the “Gas Hub Balkan”, the price of natural gas with delivery day for today decreased by 10.69 percent – to 67.32 BGN per megawatt hour compared to 75.38 BGN per megawatt hour yesterday. In the transactions with delivery day for tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, the price increased by 0.22 percent – to BGN 67.47 per megawatt hour.
