153 policemen, gendarmerie and border police guard the elections today in the Montana region. 84 sections will be opened on the territory of the district, six of which are mobile.
Today the mayor is elected by the residents of three municipalities – Berkovitsa, Boychinovtsi and Medkovets and dozens of villages.

Special project
An organization has been set up and the passport offices will work on election day from 8.30am to 7pm.
They will issue certificates for lost/stolen/damaged/destroyed ID cards and expired documents for citizens to vote.
Armed persons and citizens with objects dangerous to the life and health of others are not allowed in the election premises.
The use of mobile phones, cameras or other recording equipment for the purpose of recording the voting process is prohibited, says the regional directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Montana.
