Residents of Gabrovo municipality will go to the polls today to vote for mayor. After the elections on October 29, Tanya Venkova Hristova, nominated by PP GERB, who received 7,765 votes in the first round, and Daniel Petrov Petrov of “Vazrazhdane”, who received 1,883 votes, reached a runoff in the municipality, according to the Municipal Election Commission (MEC) in Gabrovo.
According to data from the Central Election Commission (CEC), 51,891 people have the right to vote in the municipality of Gabrovo. Machines will be used to vote in 82 sections.
The residents of Tryavna and Sevlievo will also elect a mayor in a runoff. Dr. Ivan Todorov Ivanov from GERB and Svetlana Ivanova Georgieva, nominated by “Citizens for the Municipality”, will appear in Sevlievo, it is clear from a decision of the OIC – Sevlievo. In Tryavna, the OIC – Tryavna admitted Silvia Krasteva Krasteva, nominated by the PP “VMRO – Bulgarian National Movement”, and Dencho Veselinov Minev, nominated by GERB, to the second round of the local elections.
In Sevlievo, 29,823 people have the right to vote, and in Tryavna – 9,287 residents, CEC data show.
The fourth municipality in the Gabrovo region – Dryanovo – elected Trifon Ruenov Panchev as mayor in the first round. He and the newly elected Municipal Council will take office on November 7.
