Mario’s condition has drastically deteriorated in the last week. In the last few days, he had 2 epileptic seizures one after the other, of which he has no memory of the whole day. Just before them, he was energetic, communicative, walking. Doctors said it was most likely a side effect of the chemotherapy, but after the two attacks, he had another one.
His entire right side went numb and stiff, prompting him to be rushed to hospital with fears of a stroke. After an MRI, it turns out that there are 4 metastases in the area of the brain cavity, which are pressing on the brain, resulting in seizures and feeding problems. Everything Mario tries to eat, he then throws up – he’s lost 13 kilos. The pains in the whole body do not go away either.
His family does not know what caused the metastases in the area of the brain cavity because there was no scatter in the head on the previous PET scan.
Despite everything, Mario does not give up and continues to fight. His relatives have contacted a clinic in Turkey. On November 6, Mario will go to the Turkish hospital, where a PET scan will be done, followed by several radiation treatments.
They have some funds for the initial expenses, but certainly not enough for the full treatment.
