Ivan Martin put Girona ahead in the 16th minute, but Ante Budimir equalized for the Basques midway through the first half. The scorer of the home team, Budimir, scored a second goal in the 55th minute to put his team ahead. The Catalans equalized 20 minutes from the end through Artyom Dovbik, and in the 80th minute Victor Tsygankov scored a third goal for Girona. In the last minute of added time, Aleish García made the final 4:2 for the visitors.
Thus, Girona now has 10 wins from 12 games and came out at least temporarily in first place in the standings.
