Noisy elects the mayor in a second round. Today, Prof. Dr. Hristo Hristov from “BSP for Bulgaria” and Prof. Dr. Georgi Kolev, appointed by GERB. The two reached a runoff after in the first round last Sunday, none of them managed to gather the trust of more than 50% of voters in the Shumen municipality.
Then 26.74% or 8614 people voted for Hristov, and Kolev collected 21.56% or 5495 votes.
The mayors of the municipalities of Kaspichan and Veliki Preslav will also be elected through runoffs.
IN Caspian the battle is between Milena Nedeva, who ruled for two consecutive terms, nominated in these elections by “BSP for Bulgaria” and Zlatin Tsenkov from GERB.
For Veliki Preslav the previous mayor, Eng. Yanko Yordanov from GERB, and Hristo Kyurkchiev, supported by DPS, are competing.
Election day begins at 7:00 a.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m. at the earliest. If there are people waiting in front of the sections after this hour, voting can be extended, but by a maximum of one hour – until 9:00 p.m.
On the day of the vote, pre-election campaigning and the disclosure of sociological data on voter attitudes are prohibited.
Today, in addition to a paper ballot, we also vote by machine.
