Nearly 10,000 employees of the Ministry of the Interior will participate in the security on election day. To date, more than 2,100 reports of violations of the political rights of citizens have been received.
The Ministry of the Interior adds that the majority of alerts – 1,161 – are related to buying votes in favor of political parties or coalitions. 652 are for other violations and 292 for illegal agitation. There has been an increase of over 86% in the number of reported reports compared to those for the same period of the local government elections in 2019.
A total of 192 pre-trial proceedings were established. 117 persons were detained for up to 24 hours. More than 2,800 warning protocols and 36 acts for establishing administrative violations were drawn up.
More than 10,000 officers are engaged in the protection of public order.
An analysis of all risky places and sections where violations of electoral legislation have been registered so far has been carried out. They will be provided with a maximum number of police and gendarmerie personnel.
