5 municipalities in the Pleven region vote today, November 5, in a runoff for mayors. In the remaining 6, they elected their mayors already in the first round, in the local elections held on October 29.

In the run-off today, the following are fighting:

– in the municipality of Pleven – Valentin Hristov, nominated by GERB, who received 19.44% of the votes of voters in the first round and the independent candidate Georg Spartanski with 18.38%;

– in the municipality of Cherven Bryag Atanas Atanasov from the Union of Free Democrats with 23.74% from the first round and Tsvetan Dimitrov from GERB with 17.86%;

– in the municipality of Levski – Lyubka Alexandrova, nominated by the BSP Coalition for Bulgaria/Left! with 42.14% of the first round of the local elections, on October 29 he faces Borislav Tsanov from PP-DB with 20.17%;

– in the municipality of Nikopol, Emil Tsekov from “BSP for Bulgaria” with 37.31% will compete for the post of mayor with the DPS candidate Ahmed Akhmedov, who received 31.02% of the vote last Sunday

and in the municipality Iskar Valentin Yordanov, nominated by the Local Coalition “BSP for Bulgaria” /”Bulgarian Rise”, VMRO, the Left!/ with 39.99% is against Ivan Yolov from “Together for a Strong Municipality”, for whom 37.28% of the voters of the first round.
