False start of voting in “Vasil Levski” Primary School in Ruse. In some sections the machines have not started and show a black screen, and in others there is a paper problem.
“The machine started with some system notification. We informed Ciela Norma, they responded almost instantly and a software problem was detected and could not continue voting with her. We vote with a paper ballot,” said the chairman of one of the sections at Vasil Levski Elementary School.
“The problem will not be fixed, we have received an instruction not to put the machine into circulation on election day, we have had many conversations,” added the engineer on duty.
Filled with a good mood and a zest for victory, the two candidates for the mayoral seat in Ruse exercised their right to vote.
“I voted with a paper ballot. I have confidence in the system and I don’t believe that the system in Bulgaria was created to hinder people,” said Pencho Milkov, candidate for mayor of Ruse from BSP.
“I voted with a machine, I trust both the machine vote and the paper vote,” commented Ivan Ivanov, candidate for mayor of Ruse from GERB-SDS.
As of 11 a.m., voter turnout in Ruse was 6.3%.
