Novak Djokovic qualified for the final in Paris after a highly contested clash and reversal against Andrei Rublev 5:7, 7:6(3), 7:5), where he was awaited by Grigor Dimitrov, who earlier in the day eliminated the world number 6 Stefanos Tsitsipas with 6:3, 6:7(1), 7:6(3).

This will be the 13th meeting between the two, with Dimitrov having only one victory – in 2013 at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Rome. Djokovic, who currently tops the rankings, has six titles from the tournament in Paris and will be playing in his seventh final of the year.
