“Mr. Radev is out of step with the political processes in the country. If you have watched the last 2 weeks, there has been quite a lot of tension between the parties, each party is fighting for its electorate and the way it sees the country moving forward. The only thing in common is that we are looking to have a normal European country, and not to look east towards Moscow,” Finance Minister Asen Vassilev said at a briefing.
According to him, the PP-DB won in several key cities in the runoff.
“People managed to elect mayors who will work for the improvement of their city. In different cities, these are representatives of different political forces. PP-DB won in the runoff in several key cities – Sofia, Varna, Blagoevgrad, Pazardzhik. This shows that a large part of Bulgarian cities have preferred to change their previous management model”, added Asen Vasilev.
