The newly elected mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev, said that he will fight corruption and communicate with the people in the capital. The leader of the lists for municipal councilors of “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria”, “Save Sofia” Boris Bonev is the nomination of the coalition for the chairman of the Metropolitan Municipal Council.

Vasil Terziev announced that within a week it will be clear who will be his deputies in the mayor’s chair. When asked about the expected majorities in the SOS, on which the mayor’s actions largely depend, Terziev replied that he would present the management priorities of all represented political forces. He said there was a lot of program overlap with many of them. Terziev and Bonev announced that they will revise the contracts signed by their predecessors.

The leader of “Democratic Bulgaria” Hristo Ivanov pointed out that the current administration brings negatives for both GERB and “Continuing the change – Democratic Bulgaria”, but stated that it has no alternative at the moment. “The political system is changing. Citizens refuse to give all power to one force, that’s good. We will have to learn to negotiate, in the good sense of the word,” said Hristo Ivanov.
