Manchester City’s goalscorer Erling Holland is questionable for Tuesday’s Champions League home game against Young Boys, City manager Pep Guardiola admitted at a press conference.
The Norwegian striker started against Bournemouth at the weekend but left the game at the break with a sprained ankle.
“I don’t know if Erling will be able to play tomorrow. Today we will talk to the doctor. Yesterday he told me that he feels better, but for today I can’t say anything,” explained the Spaniard.
A win over the Young Boys would put Manchester City through to the next phase of the Champions League, but it’s entirely possible Holland will not be risked against the Swiss champions as the Citizens host Chelsea at the weekend.
Manchester City leads Group G with 9 points. Young Boys are in third place with 1 point.
