All heads of services today are appointed by Radev through the official governments. So the president is the only one who can be said today that has single-handedly mastered the services.
This is what the Prime Minister said Nikolay Denkov regarding the position of the presidentthat the head of DANS should not be dismissed from his postas requested by the Prime Minister himself.
Radev: They don’t trust each other as a team, but they hold each other tight
“Until now, I have not wanted any head of service to change, because there was no reason. But today there is – the first round of the elections took place without machines and this has its consequences, related to reduced confidence in the electoral process and many invalid ballots. This is due to the actions of a deputy chairman of DANS”, the prime minister was categorical.
He indicated that it was being done an attempt to shift all the blame for the removal of the machines to the deputy minister of MEU Mihail Stoinov.
“But if you look at the DANS reference, it says that it has created the conditions for risks to arise for greater mistrust of machines. Let’s see what he did the deputy chairman of DANS – uses this premiseto create an information campaign so that the machines drop out of the elections,” Denkov added.
Prime Minister Denkov asked the president to release the chairman of DANS
“After the vice-chairman of DANS threatened national security, and the chairman refused to resign, I don’t know how we will work together”, concluded the prime minister. According to Denkov, this threatens national security.
