Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov responded to President Radev’s accusations that the request for the resignation of the chairman of DANS is an attempt to take control of the offices. The Prime Minister called to look at the facts.
“The first fact is that all chiefs of service today are appointed by the president alone through his administrations. So if we’re going to use terms like command of the services, the only one who might have mastered the offices today is the president. Second fact – so far I have never asked to change any of the heads of services because there was no reason. But today – the first round of the elections took place without machines, and this has its consequences – on the one hand, reduced trust in the electoral process and an extremely large number of invalid ballots, and this is mainly due to one deputy chairman of DANS. Third fact – at the moment there is an attempt to transfer all the responsibility, the blame for the removal of the machines to the deputy minister of e-governance”, said Academician Dinkov.
