CSKA beat Heber 3:0 at the Bulgarian Army stadium in a match of the 16th round of the First League. The Reds did not encounter any problems and took a convincing success.
Before the game, some of the home team’s players took to the field accompanied by dogs as part of a pet adoption campaign.
“Heber” had a chance in the first minute, but Marcel Canady missed the goal. In the following minutes, CSKA created several opportunities. Michael Estrada was unable to overcome Heber’s goalkeeper Matvei Igonen, and shortly after he had another opportunity, but he sent the ball wide of the goal. The home team created opportunities from set pieces, with Brian Cordoba hitting the post in one of them. Jonathan Lindseth also came close to scoring and Estrada made another miss.
At the end of the first half, CSKA took the lead. Ivan Turitsov passed to Matias Phaeton, who scored.
After the break, CSKA controlled the match. In the 59th minute, the Reds scored a second goal. Estrada controlled the ball, turned and scored with a ground shot. Lindsett had a dangerous shot shortly after, but the ball went wide.
At the end of the match, CSKA scored a third goal. Stanislav Shopov, who entered as a reserve, scored with a nice shot from the arc of the penalty area.
CSKA came out on top in the standings with 35 points, leading by two ahead of “Ludogorets”, which has a game less. “Heber” is in ninth place with 19.
