CSKA won 3:0 against visiting Hebar Pazardjik in a match of the 16th round of the efbet League. Matias Phaeton put the Reds ahead at the end of the first half, and Michael Estrada doubled the lead for the hosts after an hour.
At the very end of the match, Stanislav Shopov, who entered as a reserve, scored a fantastic goal, after leaving no chance for Matvey Igonen with a great shot with his left foot for the final 3:0.
Unlike the meeting with Eter from the last round, this time Nestor El Maestro’s men showed a more valuable game, which was enough to defeat the rival from Pazardzhik.
The victory sent CSKA to the top of the domestic championship, with the team having 35 points after 16 games played. The current champion – Ludogorets, has 33 points, but the “eagles” have a match-reserve against their capital rival. Black Sea is third, with 32 points, but also with a game less than CSKA. Heber, for his part, remains 9th with 19 points.
In the next round, Lyuboslav Penev and his team will host Black Sea at home, while CSKA will take on Krumovgrad, who are in poor form, as a guest.
Less than 40 seconds had passed and Heber had the first situation of the match. Austria’s Marcel Canady was found superbly on the edge of the home penalty area and fired on the move with the inside of his right foot but over the crossbar. A minute later, Robert Mazan’s shot from close range was caught by Bussato.
In the sixth minute, Robert Mazan mishandled the ball and Michael Estrada made a steal. Stefan Tsonkov closed the striker and he was blocked, and the ball went to Lindseth, who shot, but after a ricochet, Igonen easily caught. In the 12th minute, Michael Estrada was singled out against goalkeeper Igonen after the ball ricocheted between Lindseth and a Heber player. Estrada shoots, but Igonen blocks his shot with his body.
A quarter of an hour after the start of the match, Ivan Turitsov was found with an excellent pass in Heber’s penalty area by Lindseth and shot strongly on the diagonal, but again Igonen intervened. Shortly after, CSKA’s right-back was flagged for offside. In the 27th minute, after a mix-up from a corner kick, the defender of CSKA – Hristiyan Petrov, after a mix-up, finished with his left foot, but the ball flew over Igonen’s crossbar.

The striker intercepted on the move, but the Estonian guard of the visitors instinctively spread his arms and with his body stopped the ball that could have entered his goal.
The pressure of the “reds” still brought the result they wanted at the end of the first half. Hristiyan Petrov combined on the right with Ivan Turitsov, who crossed excellently to the uncovered Matias Phaeton. The national team of Guadeloupe finished off the move, and this time Igonen failed to intervene – 1:0 for CSKA.
The hosts slowed down dramatically in the second half, but in the 58th minute Matthias Phaeton drifted down the left flank and managed to find Tobias Heinz. The Norwegian struck, but Robert Mazan prevented him with an excellent split and the danger for CSKA ended. After exactly an hour of play, CSKA doubled their assets in the match. Emmanuel Shakic crossed from the left with his right foot and Michael Estrada controlled with a knee. A kick followed after a reversal by the striker of the “reds”, which was unsalvageable for Igonen – 2:0 for CSKA.
After the goal, the visiting players had complaints about Estrada’s handball, and the VAR referees examined the situation, but it ended favorably for the people of Sofia and the goal was recognized.
Twenty minutes before the end of regular time, Jonathan Lindseth controlled the ball in Heber’s half and eliminated Mazan. The Norwegian’s left-footed shot followed, but the ball went wide of the goal, saved by Igonen. Immediately after their appearance in the game – Stanislav Shopov and Dukens Nazon, created a combination between themselves. The young Bulgarian broke through from the right and gave an excellent cross to the Haitian, who failed to control in front of Igonen and the ball escaped to the side.
In the last minute of regular time, CSKA scored an outstanding third goal. The hosts increased their lead even more, as substitute Stanislav Shopov scored, and in what way. Danilo Asprilia advanced from the left and got past two Heber defenders. The Colombian combined with Shopov, who before the edge of the penalty area looked at Igonen’s goal and with an exceptional shot with his left foot checked the Estonian guard – 3:0 for CSKA.
