“On the thirtieth day”: Ceremony to commemorate those who died in the attacks on Israel

On Monday evening, a ceremony was held in the Central Sofia Synagogue to commemorate those who died in the terrorist attacks against Israel. Dozens of citizens visited the prayer house to light a candle.

The victims of the attack so far are more than 1,400 people. After the return of Prime Minister Denkov and Deputy Prime Minister Gabriel from Israel, it became clear that two Bulgarians were part of the Hamas hostages.

“It was important for us that we met with the families of the hostages and it became clear that there are two hostages of Bulgarian origin. At this moment, this is the information we can share. We continue, together with Israel, to do everything necessary to until the release of the hostages,” Gabriel pointed out.

“We must be extremely alert to all manifestations of anti-Semitism, which unfortunately are flooding Europe at the moment. Just a few years ago, an elderly woman was killed in the center of Paris, just because she is Jewish,” said Iliana Yotova, vice president.
