A drunken 24-year-old disqualified driver pointed a gun at police officers who came to help him after he crashed himself. His alcohol test showed almost 2 parts per million, reports Nova Television.
A woman was traveling with him in the car, she was also inadequate, the police are categorical. And she even tried to tear off the epaulet of one of the law enforcement officers.
The incident took place on the road between Montana and Berkovitsa, near the junction for the village of Komarevo. The policemen were on their way to a report of a family scandal in the village of Borovtsi when they saw the accident and stopped.
“We noticed traces of a road accident. We continued and saw a self-crashed car. We stopped to check. We found a man and a woman in the car,” said junior car inspector Iliyan Iliev.
The 24-year-old man from Sofia was behind the wheel, and next to him was the 20-year-old woman from Berkovitsa.
“The female passenger got off and started behaving rudely and arrogantly. Both were visibly intoxicated. The driver did not get out, but was screaming from inside. The female passenger staggered and was about to fall onto the roadway. I tried to calm her down,” Iliev said.
“They didn’t understand what we were telling them, they were terribly inadequate, they didn’t want to cooperate,” said Emil Sokolov.
The driver refused to give his documents. During that time, the officers saw that he had a gun. The passenger started to get out of the car again. One policeman tried to hold her back so she wouldn’t go out on the roadway.
“At that moment, I heard: ‘Hey, now you’ll see what will happen, now I’m going to give you a gun.’ At that moment, the driver got out and pulled out the gun. I pushed him, the gun fell on the roadway,” Iliev said.
After that, the police arrested the man and the woman.
