“I did not agree to vote for this government. Borisov called me and told me that I should set an example. This is a general decision above all”. This is what former deputy and minister Vezhdi Rashidov said in “The Day Begins with Georgi Ljubenov”.

“There is one thing that is easily missed – the party I was in for 20 years went into a position of opposition, but it laid the carpet for this power,” he shared.

“This is not the same Boyko Borisov with whom I left, this is someone else. May he be alive and well. I do not agree with all compromises. I do not want to say anything to him anymore. I want the old Borisov, with whom we won, to return,” he said more Rashidov. “I have been in politics for 28 years – to be removed from the Politburo and from committees, but to stand among killers (those who expose) – will not happen,” he added.

Rashidov commented that from the very beginning he doubted the capabilities of the rulers.

“A year and a half is a long time in a person’s life – a year and a half for something to happen? In a year and a half, at least one stake would have been knocked down,” said the former speaker of the parliament. “GERB did a lot and there is no one to hide it. Not everyone hates the assembly, but why did a winning party agree to this. When I was a candidate from Plovdiv, I traveled a lot in hamlets and villages, and out of 17 municipalities, GERB won 14. What happened 3 months later – only 4 municipalities,” he added.

“Putin should take responsibility for a war he made – it is not our war. We have to lead a nationally responsible policy, and we deal with everything outside, and here things stand. There is no money for history and culture – no one knows who he was prime minister at the time of Mozart or Picasso, right. Time brings a different memory, we must support our culture. The current minister is very literate,” commented Rashidov, who was also the minister of culture.

He explained that DPS is “a permanent party, they have a very good honorary chairman – a rare leader who has the right to rule until the congress”.

“Delyan (Peevski) is a pragmatic person, he is doing well – what about the fact that Magnitsky was removed from him, what will they do to him. Well, look at Hasan Azis – an exceptional person, he is already for a more serious position than mayor,” Rashidov also commented .
