The government will grant one-time aid of BGN 1,512 to 450 households that suffered from the hurricane wind and heavy rains in the regions of Smolyan, Silistra, Razgrad, Targovishte, Shumen and Varna. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov at the beginning of the cabinet meeting.
“The government works systematically and persistently to improve the lives of people and the business environment in Bulgaria,” he commented.
Another decision will determine the location of the national STEM center, which is key to the preparation of teachers and teams in mathematics and informatics, natural sciences, technology and entrepreneurship in the education system.
The STEM center will be located in Sofia Techpark, in close proximity to the supercomputer, so that teachers and students can make the most of the unique scientific and innovation environment in Sofia Techpark.
“This is the way we respond to the unstable political environment in Bulgaria,” Denkov pointed out.

At the meeting, the cabinet is expected to further discuss and adopt the Annual Report on the State of National Security in 2022. A report on the cash performance of the state budget and the main indicators of the consolidated fiscal program for the nine months of 2023 is also part of the agenda of the meeting .
The government is expected to approve additional transfers to the municipal budgets for 2023, intended to compensate the expenses incurred by parents for the month of June this year. for the upbringing and education of children who are not admitted to municipal nurseries or kindergartens due to lack of places.
