
Yasen Radev secured a second final for Bulgaria at the European Under-22 Boxing Championship in Budva, Montenegro.
In the category up to 54 kilograms, the national will box for the gold medal on Sunday after a decisive success in the semi-finals against Kosovar Bashkim Bayoku with 5:0 judges’ votes.
The match offered a real spectacle to the audience, as Radev showed the familiar very good movement in the ring, countering actions and excellent defense, with which he clearly outclassed his opponent.
As a result, Jasen deserved the clean victory and will meet Andrey Peglivanyan (Russia) in the gold medal dispute on Sunday.
In this way, Radev followed the example of Ergunal Sebakhtin (48 kg), who earlier today also secured a title fight in his category.
Around 19:30 today in the ring we will see the 5-time European champion Radoslav Rosenov (60 kg), who will face the representative of the hosts Tomislav Djinovic, and about an hour after him the 4-time champion of the Old Continent William Cholov (75 kg ) will box with Cherav Ashalaev (Russia).
