The defender of Serbia – Nemanja Gudel, asked for a victory over Bulgaria and qualification for Euro 2024 as a present for his birthday. The Sevilla player turned 31 yesterday and hopes for success on Sunday in Leskovac with success against the Bulgarian national team. A possible victory will qualify the Serbs for the European Championship in Germany next year.
“That was my birthday wish – to win on Sunday and fulfill the dream of many generations and go where we belong. We didn’t pay much attention to the results of the other games, it’s important to decide our own destiny and we are all aware of that. We are focused on giving our best against Bulgaria and qualifying for the European Championship,” Goodell said at a briefing today.
The defender is aware that Bulgaria is on the rise after the coaching change.
“There have been no easy opponents in football for a long time, you have to give 100 percent in every match, and we know that the Bulgarians changed the coach and brought back older, more experienced players to the team. We will be concentrated and I hope for a successful finish”. Goodell also said./BTA
