The youngsters with a dramatic draw against Kosovo, one each from Botev and Loko in the composition of the “lions”

The youth national team of Bulgaria ended in a 2:2 draw with Kosovo in European qualification. The match was played at the “Fadil Vokri” stadium in Pristina.

The two teams were maximally hampered by the very difficult terrain. Incessant rain further complicated the performance of the teams.

Botev (Plovdiv) junior Atanas Chernev started as a starter for the “lions”, and he played the full 90 minutes. Chernev’s partner in the center of the defense was another Plovdiv resident – Hristiyan Petrov from CSKA-Sofia.

The Bulgarians took the lead with a great goal by Martin Sorakov. The striker of the Whites scored in the 8th minute with a solid shot from mid-range with his left foot.

Tahiri managed to equalize in the 34th minute, and in the last minute of the first half, Marin Petkov gave the Bulgarians the lead again, staying face to face with the goalkeeper.

In the 59th minute, Tahiri scored his second goal for 2:2, after receiving a cross from the left and sending the ball under the dive of Hristov with a shot from the movement.

In the first minute of overtime, Lokomotiv (Plovdiv) teenager Petar Andreev appeared in the game, but the striker had too little playing time to create anything in front of the opponent’s goal.
