A business expo, training modules, discussion panels and awards are among the highlights of Women Entrepreneur Day 2023

The all-day event “The Day of the Female Entrepreneur 2023” will be held on November 20, 2023 at the Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia.

“Success in different roles” is this year’s motto of the Bulgarian format of the globally recognized “International Day of Women Entrepreneurs”.

The highlight of the event makes a logical reference to last year’s theme “Women in different roles”. The fifth anniversary event builds upon the idea of ​​how an entrepreneur, whether male or female, can achieve success in every aspect of their personal and professional life.

For the fifth time in Bulgaria, the organizer of the format is the Association of Women Entrepreneurs in Bulgaria – “Selena”, which supports initiatives that help promote gender equality and create an appropriate environment in which women can pursue their goals and be recognized for his achievements in all spheres of life.

The focus of this year’s event – “Success in Different Roles” emphasizes that women entrepreneurs can not only be successful in business, but also play important roles in the family, society and cultural sphere. This includes their roles as mothers, partners, active citizens and cultural figures. Precisely for this reason, this year, during the event, prizes for entrepreneurship will also be presented to successful and inspiring ladies in various fields.

And in 2023, according to tradition, the event is divided into two parts, and the organizers promise a rich program for the daytime and the evening part. During the day, there will be training classes on the topics: “Anatomy of motivation: How to motivate ourselves and our teams?”, “Successful practices for combining parenthood with entrepreneurship”, “Balance of femininity in the image of the modern business woman” and “Strategies to increase business sales’. In parallel with the training modules, there is also a business exhibition during the event, where different companies will present their activities and carry out live demonstrations. The culmination of the day part will be a discussion panel on an extremely important and popular topic, namely: “Natural vs. Artificial Intelligence”.

The evening event will include representatives and managers from management structures of companies, who will hold a discussion on the topic: “Leadership skills and successful business practices”. The panel will be moderated by Zivka Popatanasova, business journalist at bTV Media Group.

The evening will be really exciting because, in addition to useful discussions, it will offer musical performances and children’s skits by graduates of the only private performing arts high school in Bulgaria.

“Women’s Entrepreneur Day 2023” in Bulgaria highlights the role of women in society and the economy, focusing on their ability to engage with social causes. During the fifth anniversary edition of the event, the organizers will not fail to support three different charitable causes.

The first cause is the “Emprove” Foundation, which unites women who have become victims of domestic violence by telling their stories, drawing attention to prevention initiatives and public awareness on the subject. For all members of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs in Bulgaria – “Selena”, being an entrepreneur means not only being responsible for your business, but also being responsible to society. Based on this maxim, the ladies will stand behind a heart-warming cause, namely – “Pass it on”. It is an initiative helping people and homes for the elderly in difficulty.

Last but not least, the Association calls on all the guests of the event and the attending businesses to support the “Foundation for our children”, which is a benchmark for quality social work that is integrated into the state policy for child protection. During the event, anyone interested can buy cards and books from the Foundation’s stand and thus support their activities.
