The former captain of Dunav Ruse and current chairman of the Board of Directors of the “dragons” Diyan Dimov shared his expectations before hosting Levski in the 1/16-finals of the tournament for the SESAME Cup of Bulgaria.
“We have a match coming up, which we take rather as a stage in our development as a team and a club. However, we are working with the idea that such matches will be more frequent in the future, and we need to improve a lot in every single plan to achieve it. This can only happen if you compete with the strongest,” said Dimov before the match in Ruse, which will be on Wednesday, November 18.
“We have nothing to lose against Levski, we can only win.” This is also a chance for our players to prove themselves. The cup is always a matter of honor for Dunav, regardless of whether we play against a team from a lower or higher division. It is clear that Levski is a classy team, but we have to chase our chances in the match and try to make people happy. I wish we could get a celebration at the stadium, after all, that’s why we do everything and that’s the most important thing. “Football is for the people,” Dimov is emphatic.
