If Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov resigns, Prime Minister Academician Nikolay Denkov must also leave. This was said by the leader of GERB, Boyko Borisov. He is visiting Dulovo for a meeting with mayors in the area.
“The minister is a political person. We must hold him in mind not for the training of the policemen, but for Schengen, for border protection,” added Borisov.
“I never went to frame and I never called the Ministry of the Interior. I kept my word and did not interfere there. If the colleagues are not satisfied with their election results and want to add ladybirds to the interior ministry, let’s not look back on how Kiril Petkov’s bodyguard became deputy minister. I told Denkov that someone had to take responsibility, and he fired Temelakiev. If there is a resignation of the interior minister, Denkov must also go. We will not support this request,” said Borisov.
“The whole argument is that the Ministry of the Interior is the last place where the minister wants to mind his own business and not carry out orders. We are not going to please Kiril Petkov for demanding the resignation of Kalin Stoyanov, should he hire the other bodyguard as well? How many deputy ministers did they appoint to the Ministry of the Interior? People are excited about Mihailov’s resignation, not Stoyanov’s. We will not support his resignation,” added Borisov.
“I have been to the Ministry of the Interior, only when we held a meeting on the topic of what actions to take on Schengen admission, Maria Gabriel was also present. We discussed the Border Police and the Foreign Ministry what they should do, and also what is required by the legislative program in parliament,” commented Borisov.
Regarding the vote of no confidence, he said that he had shown wisdom and patience: “I invited Asen Vassilev, he came to my office immediately. I told him that the unreasonably inflated revenues should be removed. The debt should be 1 billion lower, to be specified. He honored our requests.”
