The renovated railway station in Stara Zagora will be opened today, the press center of the Ministry of Transport and Communications reports. The ceremony will be attended by the Prime Minister Academician Nikolay Denkov and the Minister of Transport and Communications Georgi Gvozdeikov.
With the implementation of this project, the existing infrastructure has been modernized and meets European standards in rail transport. Thus, the organization of service at the station is improved and the necessary amenities and comfort for passengers are created. Energy efficiency measures have also been introduced with new wall, floor and ceiling coverings, new facades and new air conditioning installed.
The project “Reconstruction of Stara Zagora station complex – design, construction and author’s supervision” is implemented with co-financing from the European Fund for Regional Development through the Operational Program “Transport and Transport Infrastructure 2014-2020”.
The value of the project is BGN 9,726,944.
The ceremony will take place at 17:00 at the railway station of Stara Zagora.
