Authors from Burgas lined up with their pen colleagues from all over the world in the Polish poetry anthology Metafora Wspolczesnosci, which was published a few days ago.
The collection includes poems by poets from Croatia, Poland, Israel, Taiwan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Greece, Australia, the Republic of North Macedonia, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Korea, India, Portugal, France, Ukraine.
In the prestigious edition, there is a strong participation of Burgas authors from the “Burgas Writers’ Community”, which is a confirmation of the talent and authority of our artists.
Bina Kals, Georgi D. Georgiev, Diana Savateva, Elena Yaneva, Roza Maksimova, Rosen Drumev are presented with poems in the international anthology.
Meanwhile, the “Peyo Yavorov” Regional Library will support the interest of Burgas residents in books with many events this week.
Today at 18:30 the book “From the authors and readers about books and reading” will be presented with authors and guests Anna Lazarova and Svetlozar Zhelev. It contains 42 personal stories from people involved in writing and literature about their first steps in reading, the books that inspired and changed them, and their questionnaires with questions about their need to read and their literary preferences.
Lyubov Kroneva is a guest in Burgas with “People are gentle”. The premiere is on November 23 at 6 p.m. in the “Acad. Konstantin Petkanov” hall of the library. The writer is among the recognizable names in contemporary Bulgarian literature.
“Stories from the backstage – Short film” is the other premiere on November 24 at 7 p.m. again in the conference hall.
The film “Audition”, shot in Hollywood by a Bulgarian team, will also be premiered. Films from the USA, Poland and Norway will also be shown.
