Academician Nikolay Denkov finds it easy to talk from the sidelines. To take over the Ministry of Interior to see from the inside how the work is done. This was stated by the former Minister of Internal Affairs Mihail Mikov in “The Day Begins” on BNT on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s criticism of Minister Kalin Stoyanov and the police regarding the fans’ protest against BFS.
Firmness is required from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, otherwise the protests will not be controlled, Mikov explained.
“Society needs to make itself clear about what it wants – a police force that can respect crime and anti-social behavior, or one that will strictly follow the rules but will not be able to control these protests. If they had missed setting fire to 10 more cars, they would have they are accused of not acting firmly,” Mikov added.
He also commented on the dismissal of the Deputy Minister of the Interior Stoyan Temelakiev immediately after the protest against the BFS.
“I think that whenever such events happen, the first thing that is done is to look for the blame in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. There have been many such cases before,” Mikov said.
Mihail Mikov explained that the Ministry of the Interior is under great pressure to protect public order.
“The Ministry of Internal Affairs is asked to be firm in ending anti-social acts, uncovering crime, but when events like this protest happen, the voices for exceeding police powers prevail. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has an extremely good system for investigating police violations,” said the former Minister of the Interior works.
Mikov emphasized that in our country it is accepted as normal the so-called “fan organizations” to commit pure hooliganism constantly. “Our society is highly uncritical,” he stressed.
“Fan groups have constant hooliganism. Our society is uncritical towards persons like Emil Kostadinov, who can show the middle finger, it is also uncritical towards the thousands who show the middle finger to the leadership of the FS. Even in ancient Constantinople, they used the agitators from the hippodrome for solving political issues. The big question is who organized this, because it is clear that the protest was joined by people who wanted to have a good fight with the police,” explained Mikov.
“Persons in hoods, with boxes, cobblestones, enter the protests,” explained Mikov.
