VinFast has officially launched the VF 7, a new smart electric vehicle in the C-market segment. Coming with a spacious interior, premium technologies and outstanding performance, the VinFast VF 7 is positioned to ignite passions and usher consumers into the new era of electric mobility. The VF 7 is the sixth model to complete VinFast’s all-electric SUV range, covering segments A to E.
VinFast VF 7 offers two levels – Base and Plus, produced in an “asymmetric aerospace” language by the Italian designer Torino Design. The design concept represents the notions of freedom, technology, sophistication and bold personality. One notable feature is the unique bird wing-shaped LED strip that distinguishes the front and rear of the vehicle, which is VinFast’s signature. The roof elegantly descends towards the rear in a coupé style, accompanied by large fenders and up to 20-inch alloy wheels. This contributes to the dynamic and sporty appearance of the car.
The VF 7 boasts a spacious interior with premium vegan leather seats, measuring 4,545mm in length (and 2,840mm wheelbase), 1,890mm in width, 1,635.75mm in height and has a ground clearance of 190mm. The VF 7’s design prioritizes driver comfort and convenience, featuring a 12.9-inch infotainment screen, a Head-up Display (HUD) that projects information onto the windshield, a two-tone D-cut steering wheel and elegantly designed button for shifting gears, resembling piano keys.
The VF 7 offers six exterior and two interior color options, providing a personalized touch. The Plus level allows for even more customization with a two-tone interior that can fit anyone’s personality and preferences. In addition, a panoramic glass roof is available only in the Plus version, which undoubtedly raises the driving experience to another level in the C segment.
In terms of performance, the VF 7 Plus has two electric motors that make it one of the most powerful engines in its segment, generating up to 260 kW (349 hp) and a maximum torque of 500 Nm. In addition, its four-wheel drive system and 75.3 kWh battery offer a target range of up to 431 km on a full charge (WLTP standards).
The VF 7 Base has a single electric motor that can generate a maximum power of 130 kW (174 hp) and a maximum torque of 250 Nm. It boasts a 59.6 kWh battery that allows a range of up to 375 km on a full charge (WLTP standards). The base VF 7 is perfect for city trips, while the plus is perfect for those who want to travel longer distances at a higher speed.
VinFast VF 7 is equipped with up to 8 airbags and advanced safety systems, including anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake force distribution (EBD), emergency brake assist (BA), electronic stability control (ESC), traction control traction system (TCS), hill start assist (HSA), roll reduction (ROM), etc.
The Plus package is specially equipped with an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), including 11 basic and 15 advanced functions. As supplied, basic ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, rear cross traffic warning, blind spot detection, door open warning, front automatic emergency braking and 360 surround view monitoring , while other features will be remotely updated by VinFast, free of charge, in 2024.
Both Plus and Base come with the VF Connect package, featuring a range of premium technology and smart features. These features include a virtual assistant that can communicate with different Vietnamese dialects, in-car voice control, question-and-answer capabilities, and more. The package also includes automatic e-call, intrusion warning and time limit. These features are exclusive to the VinFast VF 7 and set it apart from other petrol cars in the same segment.
In Vietnam, the base variant is priced at VND 850 million (approximately USD 35,000 without the battery) or VND 999 million (approximately USD 41,000 with the battery). On the other hand, the Plus set is priced at VND 999 million (approx. USD 41,000 without the battery) or VND 1.199 billion (approx. USD 49,000 including the battery). In the Vietnamese market, VinFast offers a battery leasing package at a monthly price of VND 2.9 million (approximately USD 120) for a maximum travel distance of 3,000 km per month. For a travel range of more than 3000 km, the monthly fee will be VND 4.8 million (approximately USD 198).
A deposit of VND 41 million (approximately USD 1,695) will be required to lease the battery. Upon termination of the contract, the battery is returned to VinFast or upon transfer of the vehicle and battery to another owner, this deposit will be refunded to the customers.
The VF 7 is backed by a warranty that lasts 10 years or 200,000 kilometers (whichever comes first). In addition, the battery warranty provides coverage for 10 years with no mileage limit. Customers in Vietnam can enjoy VinFast’s exclusive after-sales services, including mobile service, mobile charging, 24/7 roadside assistance, the special after-sales service policy, a commitment to buy back used electric cars after five years, and much more.
The network of public charging stations covers highways, urban areas, schools, hospitals, shopping malls and more in 63 provinces and cities in Vietnam, providing convenient experiences on every trip across the country. VinFast will start accepting reservations for the VF 7 from December 2, 2023, directly at the VinFast Store network and at its dealers’ showrooms in Vietnam, or online at https://reserve.vinfastauto.com.
Customers who make a non-refundable deposit of VND 50 million (approx. USD 2,000) before December 31, 2023 will receive an additional discount of VND 30 million (approx. USD 1,200) on the car price. In addition, customers will receive one year of free charging at all VinFast public charging stations in Vietnam.
