And Indian researchers have found no link between vaccination against COVID-19 and unexplained cases of sudden death, Reuters reported.

The Indian Council of Medical Research conducted the study after “anecdotal reports of sudden unexplained deaths in apparently healthy people” between the ages of 18 and 45 in the period October 2021 – March 2023.

“We found no evidence of a positive association between vaccination against COVID-19 and unexplained sudden death among young people”say the authors of the study published in the specialized publication Indian Journal of Medical Research. “At the same time, a family history of sudden death, hospitalizations for COVID-19, and a lifestyle associated with alcohol abuse and vigorous physical activity are among the risk factors for unexplained deaths.”

The researchers identified 29,171 cases of sudden death and analyzed health records in 729 of the cases, as well as a control group of 2,916 patients. According to government data, India has recorded 45 million people infected with COVID-19 and 533,295 related deaths, but experts say the real numbers are at least several times higher.

Don’t believe these things about COVID-19 vaccines

Hospitals in India were in short supply at the peak of the pandemic and many people died at home, Reuters recalled.
