By order of the regional governor Prof. Dobromir Dobrev, the state of emergency on the territory of the municipalities of Novi Pazar, Nikola Kozlevo, Venets, Kaolinovo, Kaspichan and Khitrino, as of 4 p.m. today, is cancelled, the regional administration in Shumen announced.
The situation in the affected municipalities is gradually normalizing and the difficult situation has been brought under control after the stormy wind, blocked roads, snowstorms, interrupted electricity supply and water supply.
Actions to overcome all the damage are continuing and all structures in these municipalities are starting to function normally, according to the state institution.
The teams of “Elektrorazpradelenie Sever” are on site and are working to eliminate the accidents and start up the power supply to the villages of Vekilski, Pet Mogili, Karavelovo and Krasen Dol in the municipality of Nikola Kozlevo and the village of Todor Ikonomovo in the municipality of Kaolinovo. By the end of the day, the electricity supply in these settlements is expected to be restored.
The water supply will gradually be restored after the power supply to the Shumen Waterworks facilities, added the regional administration.
A little earlier, the municipality of Aksakovo, where there were 25 people stranded in a hotel due to snowstorms, canceled the state of emergency.
In Varna, the state of emergency has not yet been lifted.
